Description

Kick off the year with a digital activity your students will actually want to complete. This free Social Media Recap Worksheet helps high schoolers reflect, connect, and express themselves through a stylized “social profile” that mimics their favorite apps without the need to log in.

Students fill in a mock social profile with a handle, bio, highlights from their summer, goals, and a status update. It’s part reflective journal, part back-to-school snapshot, and all engagement. Designed to be used digitally (drag and drop), or printed for drawing/writing.

🧠 How to Use as a 10-Minute Warm-Up:

    1. Prompt students to fill out just two key sections—their @handle and one post or highlight from their summer.

    2. Keep it light: Encourage creativity and humor, but remind them to keep it school-appropriate.

    3. Quick share: Have students turn to a shoulder partner and swap pages for a 60-second share-out.

    4. Optional callout: End by asking for 2–3 volunteers to read a post or vibe caption to the class.

🧠 How to Use as a 30-Minute Lesson:

  1. (5 min) Introduce the activity and review what each section means.

  2. (15–20 min) Students complete all areas: handle, bio, post boxes, caption, and soundtrack.

  3. (5–10 min) Students pair up and swap profiles, then present a highlight from their partner’s “page.”
